Chatted with a guy at Home Depot who has been flipping houses for 25 years

He said most people blow their budget on fancy countertops but cheap out on cabinets. Told me he buys unfinished stock cabinets and paints them himself, saves like $800 a kitchen. Anyone else ever try the cheap cabinet route and regret it?

Started reading this thinking "okay fresh paint, how bad could it be" then got to the part about 25 years of flipping houses. That guy has seen some things, respect for him still showing up to Home Depot.

Nah the real kicker is when you walk into Home Depot three times in one day and the cashier starts greeting you by name.
