People keep treating budget buyers like they're stupid and it drives me crazy
I was at Home Depot last week and heard a contractor tell a guy looking for a $15 putty knife that he should 'just spend real money' or don't bother. The dude was fixing a small crack in his rental before moving out, not building a deck. Why do folks assume cheap tools or materials mean you don't know what you're doing?

Jump right into that contractor being a total snob for NO reason. The guy just wanted to patch a crack and move out, not start a career in drywall. A $15 putty knife will do that job just fine for a single use. It's like telling someone who's renting a movie that they NEED the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. Some people just want to get the job done without the whole show. Treating budget buyers like they're dumb is just gatekeeping for no good reason.
