Serious question, I thought the $8 swap meet tripod was junk until my $200 one broke twice
Back in 2019 I grabbed this beat up aluminum tripod at a flea market in Akron for 8 bucks just to hold a flash, and I figured it would wobble apart in a month. Two years later my fancy carbon one stripped a leg lock, and the cheap thing was still holding my camera steady on a windy shoot at Edgewater Park while I stood there feeling like a fool. So what is the cheapest gear you almost threw out that ended up outlasting the pricey stuff?
