Shoutout to the guy at the Dayton flea market who told me to skip the $60 used sewing machine
I was about to buy a used Singer for $60 at the Dayton flea market last Saturday when a guy at the next table told me the motor on that model burns out fast and parts cost more than the machine. I checked online when I got home and found 40+ people saying the same thing in old forum threads from 2018. So what's your rule for telling a good used tool from a bad one when you can't test it before buying?
