That stat about 75% of home offers over list price in San Diego made me rethink my budget

I was scrolling through Redfin's market data last night and saw that 3 out of 4 winning bids in my area went above asking. Has anyone else seen numbers like this in their city and adjusted how they shop for deals?

It's wild how the same thing plays out everywhere now. My friend in Austin said she started looking at houses 50k under her max just to have a shot, and she still got outbid. Feels like the whole market's just turned into a weird auction nobody asked for.

Ugh it's basically just a screaming contest now, highest adrenaline wins.
