Unpopular opinion: buying pre-chopped frozen veggies saved me more money than fresh
Honestly, I used to think fresh veggies were always the better deal until I started tracking how much I threw away. Last month I bought a bag of fresh broccoli and forgot about it for a week, ended up tossing half of it. Then I grabbed a 2-pound bag of frozen mixed veggies for $3.50 at Aldi, and it lasted me through three full meals with zero waste. The trick is letting them thaw in a colander so they don't get soggy, then pan-frying them with garlic. My grocery bill dropped about 15 bucks a week since I stopped impulse-buying fresh stuff that goes bad. Has anyone else found a frozen staple that actually cuts costs?

Oh man, totally agree! I started buying frozen chopped onions and bell peppers, and it's a game changer. No more crying over chopping onions or watching peppers turn fuzzy in the fridge, plus they're always ready to throw in a stir fry or soup. I swear my wallet's been happier since I made the switch.

@alice89 you're making me realize my freezer is basically a shrine to half-used fresh veg I forgot about.
