Hit $100 on a single grocery trip of beans and rice

I spent exactly $18.43 on dry beans and a 20lb bag of rice last month and I'm still eating off it. Has anyone else actually tracked how long one big bulk buy of staples can stretch?

Used to roll my eyes at the whole bulk bean and rice thing. Picked up a 25lb bag of pinto beans on sale for $12 and a 20lb bag of rice for $8. Ate off it for three weeks straight and still had leftovers to freeze. That changed my mind pretty fast.

Yo three weeks? That's wild. Did you actually get tired of it or was the variety okay? I always wonder about the breaking point with just beans and rice. What was the meal you finally got sick of?

Lentils and rice did the trick for me, lasted about two and a half weeks.
