My $2 cabbage experiment fed us for five nights and I'm still shocked

Last Tuesday I had like $11 left before payday and a head of cabbage that was about to go sad in the crisper. I figured why not try that old trick of stretching it into everything. Night one was cabbage and potato hash with a egg on top, night two was stir fry with some frozen peas and the last of the rice, night three I made a kinda soup with a bouillon cube, night four was cabbage rolls using leftover oatmeal instead of meat, and night five we just ate it raw with a cheap peanut sauce I whipped up from pantry stuff. Total cost was under $2 for the whole week of dinners, way less than my usual $35 trip to Aldi. Has anyone else got a weird cheap veggie that just refuses to quit when you treat it right?
