My instant pot crapped out halfway through a batch of dried beans
Happened Tuesday night. Seal just gave out, steam everywhere. Had to finish them in a regular pot on the stove for another hour. Anyone know a good, cheap replacement that can handle a 2 pound bag of beans?

I mean... is it really that big of a deal? Dried beans on the stove take what, a couple hours tops? You can just toss them on and walk away. My grandma did it for like 50 years without an instant pot.

Why even get another instant pot? Just cook beans on the stove from the start, it's way more reliable.

Used to agree with you completely. Then I tried making a big batch of chickpeas for hummus on a Tuesday night after work. Staring at a pot for two hours while my stomach growled was the worst. The instant pot gets me from dry beans to done in under an hour, no soaking, no babysitting. My stubborn, stove-loyal self finally gave in.
