Overheard a guy say frozen veggies beat fresh for meal prep, my wallet says he's onto something

I was at the checkout last Tuesday and this dad in front of me said he feeds his family of five on $60 a week using frozen corn and peas, so I did a quick price check at my local Kroger and frozen is about half the cost per pound, do you all factor that into your weekly meal planning or stick with fresh no matter what?

Hold on, five people for sixty bucks? That’s insane. I spend that on one trip for just me and my dog. Frozen corn and peas really are the cheat code though, they last forever and actually taste fine.
