Shoutout to the 11pm dumpster bread rescue mission

Last month I was driving through Nashville and stopped at a grocery store right as they closed. The bakery guy was tossing a full cart of day-old loaves. I asked if I could grab a few and he said take all of it. I ended up with 14 loaves for free. Froze most of them and been having toast, bread pudding, and garlic bread for two weeks. Anyone else ever talk a manager into letting you snag the throwaways?
