Showerthought: My freezer is now a budget meal goldmine
I used to waste a lot of veggies that were about to go bad. Last month, I started chopping and freezing them right away. Now I have a bag of mixed peppers and onions ready for omelets or stir fry, and it cut my grocery bill by about $15 a week. Anyone else have a go-to freezer trick?

Honestly that's a solid plan for most veggies. Tbh though, you gotta be careful with stuff like lettuce or cucumbers, they turn into total mush after freezing. The peppers and onions are perfect for it. My freezer is full of those little bags of chopped celery and carrots for soup.

Ugh, my friend froze a whole head of lettuce once. It was a slimy disaster.
