That 3 dollar rice cooker from Goodwill took me 4 months to figure out
Picked up this little 3 cup rice cooker at a Goodwill in Tacoma for 3 bucks back in March. Every batch came out gummy or burned on the bottom, and I almost threw it out twice. Turns out the keep warm button was stuck on, so it was cooking for way longer than it should have. Took me until July to realize I just needed to hit that button twice, and now it makes perfect rice every time. Anyone else ever fight with a thrift store gadget longer than it was worth?

Wait, if the keep warm button was stuck, that usually means the rice keeps cooking on low heat, not exactly longer... but hey, if it works now, that's all that matters.
