Can we talk about how I wasted $220 on airport parking before I finally checked the lot 2 miles away?
I used to just roll into the terminal garage at O'Hare every single trip because it was easy, and I never once looked at what it cost me over a year, which was around $220 for just four short trips. A coworker mentioned offhand that she parks at a lot off Mannheim Road for $9 a day and takes the free shuttle, so I tried it and paid $27 total for a 3 day trip. Why do we treat the closest spot as the only option when the cheaper one is right there?
