Cheap flights vs bus rides for a trip to Portland last month

I had to choose between a $98 Spirit flight or a $40 FlixBus from Seattle. Took the bus because I'd rather sit 4 hours than deal with baggage fees and a 5am airport run. Had a solid nap and saved enough for two meals - anyone else making this trade-off?

$40 FlixBus? You get what you pay for, that ride was probably crawling with weirdos.
