Question about spending $60 on a priority pass for a 4 hour layover in Atlanta
Paid $60 last spring for a lounge pass during a 4 hour layover in Atlanta, and it covered two meals and a shower, which felt like a steal after I saw the $18 sandwich line at the gate. But a buddy did the same thing in Dallas and the lounge was packed to the walls with a 40 minute wait just to get in. So I can't tell if it's a real hack or just a gamble based on which airport you end up in. Anyone got a rule for when the pass pays off and when you should just find an outlet by the gate?
Atlanta terminal B has that lounge right past security and ive made it work twice now with a 3 hour buffer, no wait either time. DFW was a zoo though, walked up and they told me an hour just to get inside so I ate a $14 pretzel instead. My rule now is anything under 3 hours or a hub during morning rush and I just find an outlet.
