TIL the Lisbon airport metro ticket machines only take coins, and I spent 40 minutes hunting for change
Landed in Lisbon after a red eye and walked up to the metro machine with a 20 euro note, only to find out it took coins and small bills no bigger than 5. I ran around the terminal buying overpriced water and a pastel de nata just to break the bill, and by the time I had enough change the line behind me was glaring. Does anyone know if there is a spot to load a Viva Viagem card with a card instead, or am I stuck doing the snack bar shuffle every trip?
