Took me two hours to find an app that actually showed me where to refill my water bottle for free in Paris
After walking past three fountains I couldn't figure out how to use because the handle was hidden weird, I finally downloaded some city map thing and still wasted twenty minutes hunting for the first working tap - has anyone else spent way too long just trying to get a drink in Europe?

Ngl I spent 45 minutes circling the Louvre just to find a bathroom that wasn't locked, and when I finally did the tap was barely a trickle and tasted like metal. Honestly, getting a basic drink in Europe sometimes feels like a whole mission.

Barely a trickle and tasted like metal." Classic. Sounds like you found the exclusive "industrial side quest" bathroom at the Louvre. They probably charge you extra for that experience too. Next time just bring your own water bottle and a prayer to the plumbing gods. Honestly, European tap water is its own conspiracy theory. I'm convinced they make it taste weird just to sell more expensive bottles at the cafe. You survived the mission though. That's all that matters.
