Blew $80 on a meal prep delivery service that saved me zero time

I signed up for one of those meal kit boxes last month because I thought it would stop me from ordering takeout. First week was fine but by week two I was spending more time chopping veggies than I ever did just cooking normal. Ended up throwing out half the ingredients from week three because they went bad before I got to them. Total waste of $80 and I still ate fast food twice that week. Anyone else have better luck with a different service or am I just doing this wrong?

Charles, which quick recipes did you pick that actually worked?

Did you actually pick the quick recipes or just grab whatever looked good?

Read an article the other day that said most people pick recipes based on how they look in the photos, not how long they take. Honestly it made sense because I've definitely grabbed stuff just because it looked tasty then realized later it needed three hours. Ngl I wish more recipe sites would be upfront about the total time instead of hiding it in the fine print. Tbh I usually scroll straight to the prep time now before I even check the ingredients. Helps me avoid getting stuck with something that sounds quick but takes forever.
