Finally killed my dining out budget by doing Sunday meal prep for 6 weeks straight

I used to blow about $80 a week on lunches and random takeout. Six weeks ago I started spending 2 hours every Sunday chopping veggies and cooking chicken and rice in bulk. My grocery bill went up maybe $20 a week but my eating out dropped to almost zero. I saved around $360 total in that time period, which is wild to me. Has anyone else found a specific meal prep routine that actually sticks long term?

And that $360 is real money, add another month and you're sitting on a nice emergency fund.

My buddy Jay spent two years saving up $20 here and there, skipping coffees and packing lunches, and ended up with over a grand. That's not a fun story, but it's real. We all get caught up thinking big savings have to come from big raises or tax refunds, but it's actually the small habits. Like how people forget the $5 they save by not ordering delivery, or the $15 from returning that impulse buy. Those little wins stack up faster than we think, especially if you just let them sit for a few months.

$360 is three months of my internet bill, that's wild. Tiny cuts really do add up fast.
