Hit my $10k emergency fund goal 9 months early
I set a goal to save $10,000 for emergencies back in January. I thought it would take me at least 18 months since I am not a high earner. But I started putting $50 from every paycheck into a separate account and forgot about it. I checked last week and I hit $10,200. It surprised me because I never missed that money. Anyone else hit a savings goal faster than you expected?

Honestly it proves how most of our small daily habits add up way more than big plans.

Totally agree with you @chen.adam. I try to plan out these huge fitness goals every January and fail by February. But somehow I end up walking more just by parking farther from the grocery store door. It's embarrassing how many times I've told myself I'd start a morning routine and instead just pressed snooze. The little things really do sneak up on you.

Pretty sure aiming for the grocery store parking spot in the back row is barely exercise though. Parking far away just means you walk an extra 30 steps. That's not really changing anything meaningful. Big goals fail for a reason, they actually demand something from you. Small habits are just comfortable routines that don't challenge you enough to see real results. If you never push past that snooze button, you end up exactly where you started.
