Just pulled 7 years of bank statements and found something dumb

I was going through old statements to prep for a refinance and noticed I had two separate Netflix accounts running since 2017. One was on a credit card I thought I cancelled. That's $1,764 down the drain for absolutely nothing. Has anyone else uncovered a recurring charge that old?

Set up alerts on your bank accounts. That way you get pinged anytime something bigger than $5 hits your cards. Would have saved you way more than a couple Netflix payments over the years.

Yeah, the "$5 thing" is exactly what I do too. I caught a random $2.99 charge from some app I didn't even recognize last month and got it canceled quick. Saved me from probably months of those little charges piling up before I noticed. It's the small stuff you don't catch that really adds up over time.
