Just realized I saved $60 by fixing my own leaky faucet instead of calling the plumber

I was standing in my kitchen last Tuesday staring at a puddle under the sink and after watching a 10 minute YouTube video I tightened a pipe nut and it stopped leaking instantly, anyone else surprised how much they can DIY with just a little patience?

Last month I had a garbage disposal that was just humming at me instead of grinding. Spent 15 minutes watching some guy on YouTube show how to reset it with a hex key and felt like a wizard when it fired back up. Honestly made me wonder why I ever called anyone for stuff like that.

That thing you said about "just a little patience" hits on something I've been noticing everywhere. Everyone wants instant results but most of the stuff that actually saves you money or time just comes down to sitting with it for a few minutes to figure out what's really going on. It's like our whole culture is built on paying people to avoid small frustrations when half the time the fix is simpler than we think.
