My ancient Crock-Pot finally bit it on Tuesday night

We had that thing for probably 15 years, got it as a wedding gift. It just stopped heating halfway through a pot roast, no warning at all. I ended up finishing the roast in a Dutch oven on the stove, but honestly I'm pretty proud of myself for not rushing out to buy a new one right away. Now I'm debating between a secondhand replacement or just learning to use my pressure cooker more, anyone else ever make that switch?

My buddy switched to an Instant Pot and never looked back.

That's how it goes with most kitchen gadgets now.

My Instant Pot replaced my old crock pot about 4 years ago and I haven't looked back either. I was skeptical at first but the pressure cooker setting makes a pot roast in like 60 minutes that tastes like it cooked all day. Plus it does rice, beans, and even yogurt so I actually use it way more often than I ever used my crock pot.
