My choice between a new phone or fixing my old one

My phone screen cracked last week and the repair quote was $150, but I could have upgraded for $30 a month on a plan. I decided to just pay the $150 to fix it, which felt like a win because I'm not adding another monthly bill. Has anyone else picked a one-time fix over a new subscription lately?

Good call avoiding the new monthly bill. In my experience, that stuff adds up way faster than you expect. I've been trying to buy things outright instead of using payment plans, even for smaller stuff like kitchen tools. It just feels better to own it and be done.

Totally agree, but what about when you need to replace something broken? I've been stuck paying for old subscriptions I forgot about because the new thing felt urgent.
