Overheard someone say they save $800 a month by eating freezer meals
So I'm at the post office break room and this clerk is bragging about how they pack their freezer with those big lasagnas and casseroles every Sunday. They said they spend like $60 on groceries for the whole week. Meanwhile I'm dropping $40 just on takeout lunch alone because I'm too lazy to meal prep. It got me thinking about my own budget and how much I waste on grabbing a sandwich or a burrito every day. I did the math and I'm probably blowing $300 a month just on lunches. Anyone else ever run the numbers on what they're throwing away on food they could have made at home?

Bro $80 a week on freezer meals is a game changer once you get past the first boring month.

Wait, only $80? What are you eating, just chicken and rice for every meal? I meal prep too but I feel like I spend closer to $120 and even then I get bored by week three. The key is mixing up sauces and spices so you dont feel like youre eating the same thing every day. Also, dont be afraid to freeze stuff like soups or chili because those actually taste better after being frozen. Just my two cents from trial and error over the last few years.
