Shoutout to my friend who called my budget spreadsheet 'a mess'

I used to track everything in one giant sheet, no categories. She said it was impossible to see where my money was actually going. So I split it into fixed costs, food, and fun money. My food spending was way higher than I thought, like $600 a month. I cut that down by planning meals on Sundays. Now I can actually see my progress. Anyone else get a harsh review that actually helped?

Man, a harsh review on something you made is the worst. But it's like when someone points out a typo on your resume, you're mad for a second but then so glad they caught it. That outside look can spot the blind spots you just live with. My old workout plan was like that, a friend said it had no real rest days. I was just tired all the time and didn't see it.

Take a day to cool off before you even look at the feedback. Then go through it and pull out the stuff you can actually use to make the thing better.
