Shoutout to the library app that killed my audiobook habit spending
I used to drop like $40 a month on audiobooks through one of those subscription services. Then last January my local branch downtown had a sign about Libby and hoopla. I signed up on the spot. Now I put holds on new releases and wait a week or two instead of paying. It's saved me around $400 so far this year. The only catch is returning them early if someone else is waiting, which honestly keeps me finishing books faster. Anyone else cut out a monthly media subscription for the free library version?

$400 is wild, I thought I was doing something by saving like $80 on podcasts. My library wait list for the new sci-fi novel is three months out, so I caved and bought it last week. Still beats paying for a subscription every single month though.
