The $14 grocery app subscription that saved me $80 in a week

I kept forgetting what was in my fridge and buying duplicates, so I finally tried one of those meal planning apps with a free trial. It took me 3 days to actually input everything I owned, which felt ridiculous. But once I did, I planned meals around what I had and only bought the missing stuff. My grocery bill dropped from $140 to $60 last week, and I threw out way less food. The subscription is $14 a month, so I basically paid for it in one trip. Has anyone else had a bigger win from just tracking pantry inventory instead of coupons?

Okay, I admit I used to roll my eyes at this and thought it was just for people who are SUPER organized. But this honestly changed my mind, because I did the same thing last month and it was like a light bulb went off. I found three jars of the same pasta sauce and a whole bag of sad, wilted spinach I forgot about. Just seeing it all listed out made me stop buying stuff I clearly already had, and my waste went way down too.
