Warning: my $60 grocery run hit $94 after I stopped writing a list

I kept telling myself I knew what was in the pantry, but after watching my total creep up $34 over three trips I started jotting stuff on the back of an envelope before I leave, and the bill dropped back down almost every time, so has anyone else noticed the list itself matters more than the store you pick?
