One email from a client made me redo my whole quote format
Last month a repeat customer in Austin sent back my estimate with every line item questioned. They said my lump sum pricing looked like a guessing game and they nearly picked another crew. I spent a weekend breaking every job into material, labor, and contingency columns with real numbers from my last 6 projects. Now clients ask fewer questions and I've closed 3 jobs faster than before. The feedback stung at first but that kind of direct honesty is rare. Has anyone else had a customer basically teach them how to run their bidding process?
