Turned a 3am server crash into a backup win

My staging site went down at 3am Tuesday cause I forgot to update a PHP config, cost me 4 hours of sleep and a client call. Got the backup restored in 20 minutes using an old snapshot I almost deleted, so now I'm setting up automatic ones every night. Anyone else rely on a close call to finally fix their backup routine?
