Appreciation post: the monthly log I swore was a waste of space
Tbh I ignored the monthly log for 8 months until I lost track of a dentist appointment in Denver and spent 3 hours flipping through dailies to find it, so now I'm a convert, has anyone else resisted a basic layout only to have it save your bacon?

Yeah, that's exactly how it went for me too @william_torres. I kept skipping past it for months thinking it was just noise until I finally sat down and gave it a real chance one weekend. Once I figured out how to tweak just a couple settings it totally clicked and now I check it every day without fail. Funny how something can sit right under your nose and you don't realize what you're missing.

Is it just me or does that apply to almost everything these days? I've noticed the same thing with so many tools and even some people I've met honestly. You think something's not worth your time until you finally give it a real look and see what you were missing. Probably has to do with how we're all just flooded with options all the time and our brains learn to filter stuff out. Once you break through that first impression wall though it's like a whole new world opens up. Makes you wonder how many other good things we're walking right past every day.
