Blank notebooks vs dotted grid - I finally picked a side

I started bullet journaling three years ago with a plain Moleskine and spent way too much time drawing straight lines for my weekly spreads. Then I switched to a Leuchtturm with a dotted grid and my layouts actually stayed straight without me fighting it. But the dots sometimes mess with my eye when I'm doing cover pages or doodles. Is the structure worth the visual noise or do you prefer the freedom of blank pages?

Yeah I used to love blank pages but dotted grids totally converted me.
