Hit 200 pages in my bullet journal this week...
I always thought I'd get bored and switch notebooks way before that. But using a simple index and threading really let me keep going without losing track of things. Has anyone else ended up with a way thicker journal than they planned for?

Okay but is it really that serious though? Like, 200 pages is a lot of paper and ink just to track appointments and to-do lists. I mean, if you're dumping entire diary entries in there with doodles and mood trackers, sure, I guess. But for basic planning? An index and threading feel like extra steps just to avoid starting a fresh notebook. I keep my bullet journal simple and flip through it every few months when I need a new one. Feels like you're trying to make a productivity art project instead of just staying on top of stuff.

Question why you need 200 pages for just staying organized. Feels like overkill unless you're journaling about every single cup of coffee you drink.

Wait wait, did you say you flip through your bullet journal every few months? Like you just toss the whole thing and start over? I thought the whole point of the index and threading was so you could keep using the same notebook for years and years not just three months. That feels wild to me. I mean sure if you only use 20 pages every few months then 200 pages is way too much but if you're using it for work and personal stuff and maybe even some random brain dumps that book is gonna fill up fast.
