Lost 3 months of habit tracking because my pen bled through the page

I was sitting at my desk in my apartment last Tuesday, flipping back through my bullet journal to check my water intake for February. That's when I saw it - all those dots I drew on the previous page had soaked through and turned my February spread into a mess of blue smears. I couldn't read any of my logs for sleep, exercise, or mood from January through March. Turns out I was using a cheap fountain pen with watery ink from the dollar store downtown. I switched to a fine-tip Pilot G2 and now I test every pen on scrap paper first before I commit to a monthly layout. Has anyone else had ink ruin a whole section of their journal and had to start over from scratch?

Liquid disasters waiting to happen" is so accurate lol. I swear those cheap fountain pens are cursed or something.

Oh wait, a dollar store fountain pen? Those are basically liquid disasters waiting to happen. I bought one once out of curiosity and the ink blobbed all over my hand before I even touched it to paper. Three months of tracking gone just like that, I would have lost my mind. At least you caught it before it happened with the Pilot G2, those are solid. But man, having to redo sleep and mood logs from scratch sounds like a special kind of torture.

Man I used to be the total opposite... I was all about fancy fountain pens from Japan and stuff. But after my second one leaked in my bag and ruined a whole notebook of notes, I started grabbing the Bic ones from the grocery store and honestly they work fine. Never looked back.
