My bujo nearly got destroyed by a coffee spill at the station

I was detailing my weekly spread at the firehouse kitchen table last Tuesday when my mug tipped over. Coffee went straight across my April monthly log before I could even react. I blotted it with paper towels but the pages were already warped and some ink bled through. I ended up cutting out those pages with a craft knife and redrawing them on new paper. Now I keep my drink on a separate table at least 3 feet away. Has anyone else had a similar disaster and found a way to salvage wet pages?

Actually the tape monster can be a real help if you use washi tape instead of regular tape. Washi tape peels off clean without ripping the pages, so you can patch up spots where ink bled through. Just make sure you blot the spill first with a clean cloth, not paper towels, because paper towels leave fibers that mess up the surface.

DUDE I FEEL this. My whole March spread got murdered by a water bottle leak in my bag and I had to tape in fresh pages like some kinda frankenbujo. I swear, drinks and planners are mortal enemies.

UGH that sucks so bad. What worked for me after my iced coffee betrayed my July spread was switching to a waterproof cover and keeping drinks in a separate bag pocket. I also started using a plastic folder sleeve for the current month pages. Saved my sanity when my toddler launched his sippy cup at my open planner last week. Maybe try a wipeable page protector for the current spread, it'll keep the tape monster away haha.
