My coworker swore by the "no collections" method and I should have listened

This guy Mark from my old office kept telling me to stop using collections in my bullet journal. Said it was a waste of space and I'd never stick with it. After 6 months of trying to track reading, workouts, and water intake in separate collections, I gave up and went back to the daily log method. Now my journal is way simpler and I actually use it every day instead of ignoring it for weeks. Anyone else find collections just don't work for them?

Wait isn't that how most productivity stuff goes though? You try to make this perfect system with all these categories and it just falls apart cause life is way messier than that.

Read something about bullet journals being more about the process than the result. @rodriguez.felix is right though, once it turns into a chore you've already lost what made it useful.

Yeah that's exactly what happened to me too, I kept adding more stuff until my journal felt like a chore instead of a help.
