Question about switching from a monthly to a weekly spread
I've been using the same monthly layout for about 8 months now but I'm finding I run out of space for daily tasks around the 15th of each month. Thinking about trying a weekly horizontal layout with 7 columns instead. Has anyone else made this switch and found it helped with task overload?

The part about "running out of space around the 15th" tells me you might be cramming too many little tasks into one month. A weekly spread won't fix that if you don't also cut down on what you're tracking. Try trimming your task list first before changing layouts.

@carter.laura I get what you're saying but sometimes a fresh layout really does help me want to plan better.

Wait, hold on @carter.laura - you're telling me to trim my task list BEFORE changing layouts? That's like telling someone to patch a tire before checking if the rim is bent in the first place (okay that metaphor got away from me a little). The whole reason I'm even thinking about switching is because my brain wants that visual separation of weeks so bad. Nancy's right about a fresh layout sparking motivation, but I think there's something to be said for trying the weekly spread just to see how it feels on paper. Might help you spot which days are actually overloaded versus just feeling crammed together in a single month box.
