Someone told me my weekly spreads were too cluttered and they were right
I had this habit of cramming every tiny task, appointment, and random thought into one big page. A guy in my local bujo group pointed out I was using way too many colors and symbols, making it hard to actually see what mattered. So last month I switched to a simpler layout with just three sections: top 3 priorities, a small habit tracker, and a notes column. It feels weird having so much empty space but I’m actually following through on stuff now. Anybody else get feedback that made you totally change your system?

You were using way too many colors and symbols" - that's what jumped out at me. I gotta ask, how many different colors were you actually using before you switched? Because I feel like there's a big difference between someone using five highlighters and someone using fifteen, and I'm curious which camp you fell into. I see people on Instagram with these rainbow spreads that look like a unicorn threw up on the page, and I always wonder if they actually use them or just like how they look. The real test is always whether the system helps you get stuff done, not whether it looks pretty.

Man, I feel that. I was the guy with like twelve highlighters, a different one for every category. Looked great for the first week, but I couldn't keep it up. The Instagram stuff is pure decoration, not a real system.

That unicorn comment is EXACTLY right though, all flash no function.
