The $45 stencil set that split my bujo group in half
I picked up a pack of 12 stencils for my weekly spreads and they were great for about two weeks. Then I noticed I was spending more time lining up the plastic triangles than I ever did just sketching boxes freehand. A buddy in my local meetup in Phoenix swears by them, says they cut his setup from 20 minutes to 5. I timed myself last Sunday and it took me 23 minutes with the stencils and 12 without. So now I'm wondering if the cost was worth it or if I just bought a fancy habit that slows me down. Has anyone else dropped money on a tool that made your bujo worse before it got better, or is it just me? What did you do with the thing after you figured that out, sell it, toss it, or force yourself to use it?

Did I waste $45 on those same stencils? I was pretty sure they were genius until I saw your timing, because mine got slower too once I stopped being careful with the edges. I ended up giving mine to a friend who likes the structure, and honestly, that felt better than forcing it.

Oh for sure, same here @diana_black, I kept messing up the edges too and just gave up on them!
