The $8 spreadsheet that finally got my monthly layout to stick

I tried every fancy tracker layout for like 6 months and always abandoned them by week 2. Then I just copied my bank statement into a simple 2 column grid with a highlighter for bills and it's been 3 months solid. Anyone else find that boring repetitive setups work way better than the pretty ones?

Wait, the CAP is still OFF? That thing has been sitting open for like three hours now?! That highlighter is probably dried out worse than my grandma's old markers.
