Heard a guy at the car wash say left lane campers cause more accidents than speeders

I was waiting for the pressure washer last weekend and this older dude in a F-150 was ranting to his buddy about it. Said he drives I-94 through Detroit every day and 90% of the near misses he sees are from someone going exactly 70 in the left lane forcing people to cut around them. I mean I always figured speeding was the main danger but he had a point about how unpredictable lane camping makes everyone else. Has anyone else noticed this on their commute or am I just buying into his argument?

Right, and it's not just on the highway either. You see the same thing at the grocery store when someone parks their cart right in the middle of an aisle while they stare at their phone. It's like some people just don't get that their slow, predictable speed creates a whole chain reaction of people trying to go around them. That unpredictability is what gets you, whether it's on the road or just trying to grab a carton of milk.

Wait, 90 mph weaving? Where do these people even come from?

Ngl, I think the people on their phones in the aisle are way more predictable than someone weaving through traffic at 90 mph.
