Hot take: I actually like driving in rush hour traffic
I know most people complain about it, but last Tuesday on the 405 through Santa Ana I had the smoothest commute in months. Nobody was tailgating me, everyone used their turn signals, and I made it from the 55 to the 73 in just 22 minutes. It got me wondering if maybe we all just need to leave a little earlier or be more patient. Has anyone else had one of those rare perfect commute days?

Yeah people only really notice traffic when it's bad but a smooth drive barely registers. Kind of like how you remember a bad meal way more than a good one. Just the way our brains work I guess.

Read somewhere that our brains have a negativity bias, so we remember the bad stuff way more than the good.
