Roundabout in Phoenix last week almost made me lose it
I was driving through that big roundabout on 7th Street and McDowell Thursday. Some guy in a slammed Civic cut across two lanes to exit. No signal, no check, just went. I had to slam my brakes so hard my coffee flew off the dash. Landed all over my passenger seat. Took me 15 minutes to clean up at the gas station. Why do people treat roundabouts like free-for-alls? Has anyone else nearly wrecked because of these clowns?

Gotta say I used to be one of those people who thought roundabouts were fine until I almost got killed in one last year. @william_torres is right about the panic - people freeze up and then do dumb stuff. I was coming through the one on 16th Street and Camelback when a minivan just stopped in the middle to let someone in from the right. I was already in the lane and had to swerve onto the curb. Flat tire, ruined my wheel alignment. Now I go way slower and watch every car like theyre about to do something stupid.

Free-for-all" is exactly right. People treat roundabouts like it's Mad Max out there. I saw a guy in a lifted truck just stop in the middle lane last week. Blocked everyone. Then he waved at someone to go. In a roundabout. Makes no sense. The whole point is keep moving, keep your lane. Nobody reads the signs either. They just panic and go.
