Spent $60 on a dash cam after a fender bender last month... best money I never wanted to spend
Some guy ran a red light on Broadway and clipped my bumper. He claimed I was the one who blew through it. Cop said no witnesses so it was gonna be a he said/she said thing. Then I remembered I had that cheap dash cam I got off Amazon just sitting in my glove box. Plugged it in right there and the footage showed everything clear as day. He got the ticket and his insurance is covering my repairs. Anyone else have one of those moments where you almost didn't buy something but it ended up saving your butt?

You ever read that story about the guy in Texas who caught a cop running a red light on his dash cam and the city still tried to ticket him? Made me think about how many people get screwed over without one. I put a basic one in my truck after hearing that. It's not fancy, just records over itself every few days, but it's there if I need it.
