Burnt my toast so bad it fused to the toaster

I left a bagel in for 4 minutes while scrolling TikTok and it turned into a black rock that wouldn't pop up. Had to unplug the whole thing and scrape it out with a butter knife while smoke filled my apartment. Has anyone else had to sacrifice a toaster to the burnt toast gods?

Wait, you're acting like this is some kind of accident? You set a bagel for 4 minutes in a toaster, that's basically asking for it. If you're gonna scroll TikTok while cooking, you gotta set a timer or at least glance over every 30 seconds. I say you earned that charred mess and the smoke filled apartment. Toasters are pretty cheap and simple, they don't owe you anything for treating them like a garbage disposal for forgotten bagels. Honestly, scraping it out with a butter knife probably just made it worse and scratched up the heating elements. Maybe next time you'll pay attention to what you're doing instead of blaming the appliance for your own lack of focus.

Man, I dunno, it's just a bagel. Feels like you're acting like he left a whole loaf of bread in there for an hour or something. Four minutes in a toaster seems pretty standard to me, a lot of people probably wouldn't set a timer for something that quick. Saying he "earned it" is a little harsh over some burnt breakfast.
