Spent $12 on a silicone baking mat after burning one too many cookie sheets...

I was totally skeptical about those silicone mats until I pulled a tray of burnt sugar cookies out of the oven last Tuesday and the mat peeled right off clean, no scrubbing needed, has anyone else had that same moment of disbelief with kitchen gadgets you ignored for years?

Burned sugar cookies" actually sounds like they were overdone, not burnt.

Oh I just read somewhere that brown doesn't always mean burnt though.
