The crockpot fire in my minivan that turned dinner plans upside down
Last Tuesday I plugged my grandma's old crockpot into the minivan's outlet for a slow cooker chili run to my sister's place in Dayton, and the thing caught fire about 20 minutes down I-75. I pulled over fast, dumped a bottle of water on it, and the whole van smelled like burnt beans and melted plastic for a week. Has anyone else tried slow cooking while driving, or am I the only one who nearly torched their ride for some chili?

wonder if your sister's slow cooker had a recall nobody checked... that old outlet might've been wired wrong from the factory.
