A customer in my shop said my pork chops were the best he's had since his grandma passed

It was this older guy named Frank who comes in every other week. He told me the way I cut them, leaving just the right amount of fat, reminded him of how she used to do it back in his hometown of Scranton. That kind of comment, about keeping a family memory alive through good meat, really hit home. What's the best thing a customer has ever told you about your work?

Totally get that. Had a guy tell me my woodwork smelled like his grandpa's shop, which is the best thing you can hear. @henderson.oscar knows it's those tiny details that stick with people.

That part about keeping a family memory alive through good meat. You see that everywhere if you look. A barber with an old way of lining someone up. A baker with a specific twist on a cookie. It's like small skills become time machines for people.

My barber got a similar comment last month. @mila_brown10 is right, these little skills are powerful. They connect people in a way big things can't.
